We are excited to announce the installment of Pre-Swim Team Level 7 at the James P. Bigley Pool!

In order to participate in this program, we will need swimmers to pass an introduction night at the pool.  

This will be free of charge and take place on Wednesday, July 31st from 6-8PM.

We will be working in two age brackets and time slots:

Ages 8-12 will swim from 6-7PM
Ages 13-18 will swim from 7-8PM

Participants must be able to do the tasks in order to test into Pre-Swim Team Level 7:

Tread water for 2 minutes

1. Endurance (no stopping-front crawl, breaststroke, butterfly or a combination), 150 yards
2. Game 5min MOD tag
3. Front crawl (no stopping), 50 yard
4. Game 5 min kick with ball fast and slow kicks
5. Back crawl (no stopping), 50 yards
6. Game 5min dive, jump and twist
7. Breaststroke (no stopping), 50 yards
8. Game 5 mins treading water, hot potato with music
9. Butterfly (no stopping), 50 yards
10. Game (swim little fishy swim)

If your swimmer tests into Pre-Swim Team Level 7, these are the dates, times and costs of the program:

Sunday nights from 4-5PM

August 4th - September 8th (6 weeks)

Cost per swimmer:
$55 Family Membership
$70 Youth Membership
$145 Non-members

Cost per swimmer if participant is employed by the YMCA:
$72.50

Like all our other programming, these lessons will be first come first serve--there will be a limited number of spots for participants.
