In order to be fiscally responsible, each year we examine our bus routes to find efficiencies and make reductions where possible. Some afternoon school bus routes have been combined this year. The result is a number of changes to both bus route numbers and bus times.
Most of the changes will affect families in the western portion of our district including Coon Valley and Chaseburg areas. Our transportation department tried to minimize the impact to families. Drivers have been asked to contact families on their routes with information on those changes and our dispatcher will send a list of afternoon bus numbers to each school so they have the same information.
We are hopeful that our planning will lead to as few hiccups as possible. Thank you for your patience as we start another school year and work through any transportation glitches that arise.
